Advancement Office
Mission
The mission of the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni (OIAA) is to advance the well-being of Boston Day and Evening Academy by securing financial support and in-kind contributions, coordinating enrichment opportunities for students and alumni, and maintaining the mutually beneficial bond between the school and the Boston community. OIAA implements the activities of the BDEA Foundation, Inc., fiscal agent of Boston Day and Evening Academy, and deepens the connection between school and community by inviting media and community members into the school for lectures, symposia, and events, and by going out into the community to share student and faculty talent, produce from our garden, and volunteer hours with local organizations. OIAA coordinates forums in which to share best practices with educators from all over the world, by inviting them to our school to observe classroom instruction and daily life at BDEA, and by sharing resources, data, and instruction strategies. OIAA regularly communicates with friends of BDEA through quarterly newsletters.
