BDEA Enrichment Program Flourishes with Continued Support from the Hestia Fund
BDEA's enrichment program under the direction of teacher Franklin Marval has flourished in the past year.
With workshops led by Franklin as well as visiting artists in architecture design, watercolor painting, furniture design, cartooning, painting, drawing, photography, and much more, as well as cooking classes at community partner Haley House Bakery and Cafe, students have been inspired, challenged, and focused. This program has been made possible by the generous support from the Hestia Fund, and BDEA is honored to have received continued funding of $29,000 for the 2010-2011 school year to continue and expand this program.
Because of the availability of the arts at BDEA, students have tapped into their creativity, discovered new interests, and gained important experience. BDEA is truly grateful to the Hestia Fund for their continued generosity, enriching the lives of our students!
