Head of School Position
Boston Day & Evening Academy is a learning and growth-based organization. The position of Head of School provides a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to work with school leadership to capitalize on the growth that has taken place in the last several years. The ideal candidate will be a powerful and inspirational voice for progressive alternative education in Boston and position the school in the national conversation about alternative education models.
The ideal candidate also must be a leader, able to inspire students, faculty, staff, community and academic partners to work together in support of both the mission and the vision of the school. He or she must embrace the principles of the Coalition of Essential Schools as they inform problem-solving, collaboration, and the decision-making practiced on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have an intrinsic understanding of our motto “students first!”
