Ruth Rodriguez

Bio: 

Ruth joined BDEA in 2007. Previously, she was a Program Associate for the Center for Collaborative Education, working as a Family Engagement Coordinator. She has taught at the Chandler St. Magnet School in Worcester, MA, as well as the ABZ School in Trento, Italy. Ruth is committed to providing families with the resources and information they need to feel engaged, comfortable, and fully supportive of their child's education. Ruth holds a B.A. in Social Work from Atlantic Union College, and did graduate studies in Bilingual Education in the Teacher Corps. program at Boston University. She also holds a Community Fellows certificate from the Urban Studies Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Tecnology. Her research work was on violence prevention in high school. Ruth was recently voted Co-President of Citizens for Public Schools, a non-profit that advocates for the preservation and improvement of the public school system.
