June Leone
June joined BDEA in 2007. She has worked in alternative/special education programs in the Greater Boston are since 1982, teaching Science, Math, History, Social Studies and Special Education. June believes in responsiblity, accountability and empowerment in education. By teaching students personal responsibility and accountability for their academic and non-academic lives, students are empowered to achieve and succeed in school and in all other aspects of their lives. June holds a B.A. in Social Thought and Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and an M.Ed. in Special Education from Eastern Nazarene College. She is currently pursuing certification in English as a Second Language, and as a Diagnostician for Irlen Syndrom (reading disorder).
